JER_8650.JPGSally Phillips Buffington is a USEA Certified Instructor who has competed through the FEI levels of Eventing. She is a member of the USEA, USEF, FEI, and NTEA. Sally has successfully competed her thoroughbred gelding Absolut through the FEI CIC * level and her students consistently finish in the top ten placings of their respective level in the USEA every year.

Clinics taught by Sally have been well received and contain in depth teaching in all three phases of eventing as well as written material given to further support the knowledge shared in her clinics. Her clinics stress the safety needed in this sport through deep teaching of proper balance and a work ethic built into the training of the horse. She helps each rider see the whole picture so they can go back and retrieve missing elements of the training scale.

Sally is available for Coaching at Horse Trials as well as training riders and their horses at Stone Creek Farm located just 6 miles north of Madison, Georgia at 1700 Plantation Road.. Her clients come from north, central, east and west Texas and she looks forward to developing a clientele in Georgia. Weekend informal clinics are available at your farm or one near you. Sally will be teaching one day per week at beautiful Star Light Farms in Covington, Georgia as well. This farm has a beautiful, large arena with wonderful footing as well as an introductory cross country course designed by Ann Haller. Groups travel from other cities and have a weekend of in depth instruction in 'off' weekends during show season. She also meets some long distance students one day early at horse trials to give them help prior to the competition.

Occasionally horses are for sale. Stone's Throw is the Gold Medalist broodmare that is selectively bred to produce fine, FEI potential Irish sport horses. Currently available is a rising five year old, Flagmount's Irish Riverstone who has jumped 4'7" playing in the pasture. He is black w/ a lovely airy trot and will mature to 16.2 or 16.3 hands.

Coming behind him is Brandenburg Stone's Southern Cross. A flashy bay stud colt with a wide blaze and two hind white stockings. He is carries infamous bloodlines on both sides. He will remain a stud and is a rising three year old. Both of these horses carry the Irish King of Diamonds line as well as the American lines famous for jumping of Vitriolic, Sweet Victory and the Grand Prix jumping lines of His Casual. They were bred to jump and they prove it in their play!  Call for quotes.

Sally wishes to thank her corporate sponors Neddy's Breeches at  www.neddys.com and Pro-Cushion Flooring at www.Pro-Cushion.com . Neddy's breeches offer a wonderful line of full seat breeches at a great price. Pro-Cushion flooring is a must have if you worry about the wear and tear on your horses legs in transit. This closed cell foam goes under your current mat and is easily installed. 'I will never be without it now that I have seen how it takes the road impact off of my horses legs', I would also like to thank County Saddlery for inviting me into their Trainer Referrel Program. I feel very honored. There is no safer saddle in my opinion for jumping than the County line of saddles. Your lower leg is always in a safe, balanced position.Sally Buffington.=1162929233457" />

Of forty four Champion Preliminary horses Absolut was one of only a handful that finished double clear on their dressage score over what proved to be an exceptionally difficult cross country course.

"I highly recommend Gateway Precision reins. These reins offer the rider the feel of a non-sliding rein through a hand held loop. As a result the rider learns to ride 'through the elbow'thus feeling the importance of elastic elbows and a true connection. These reins are also great for horses who are reluctant to bend properly at the poll. The riders hand become stabilized and they can then feel the magic of sitting long in the saddle with a true connection allowing the pelvis to come forward into the hand. They are a fabulous invention and endorsed by many of our Olympic riders." Sally Buffington. The banner above is a hot link and will take you to the website for Precision Reins. The left side of the banner features Absolut and Sally jumping the stadium phase.
